This is the best of Mark Levin. 00:20 I wanted an opportunity to talk about Lindsey Graham with you. Those of you who listen to the program on a regular basis know he was on a few times in the past month or so. 00:33 Over the last two to three years, really three years or so, Lindsey Graham and I became quite close, actually. 00:41 He would text me. 00:43 He would call me. 00:47 We would talk about, among other things, foreign policy. 00:52 We had very similar views, not exactly, but similar views when it came to Israel and Ukraine and, I might add, Taiwan. 01:02 The isolationists and the woke right are very vicious, evil people. 01:06 They want you to believe that Lindsay's a warmonger. 01:10 Lindsay was never a warmonger. 01:14 Lindsay didn't like these international bullies, who were actually enemies of ours, attacking our allies. 01:23 Israel's our ally. Ukraine's our ally. Taiwan, which communist China wants to invade and overtake, is our ally. 01:32 Lindsay was a very, very loyal friend, and he was very, very loyal to our allies. 01:40 He was no warmonger. He was a humanitarian. 01:44 I believe that these people, many of whom were surrounded by enemies, should be supported by us. 01:53 That we have a lot in common. 01:56 with Israel, that we have a lot in common with Ukraine, that we have a lot in common with Taiwan, their democracies, for one. 02:07 And we have almost nothing in common with the Islamists that surround Israel, with Putin, who tried to destroy Ukraine, and of course, communist China. 02:20 Lindsey Graham, from a national security perspective, had much in common with Reagan, had much in common with Scoop Jackson, much in common with Patrick Moynihan, Joe Lieberman, Jesse Helms, and so many others. 02:45 The attacks on him have been vicious since his passing. They were vicious before his passing. 02:53 I know I've received some of this myself, but nothing like him. 02:59 Lindsey Graham is loved by the people in South Carolina. 03:03 He's loved by the people in Israel. He's loved by the people in Ukraine. And he's loved by the people in Taiwan, not to mention other parts of the world. 03:15 A very consequential senator. 03:20 And I think he provided enormously useful and important advice to President Trump. 03:28 in the first term and his second term. 03:33 I believe he was an outstanding counterbalance to some of the naive and green isolationists and woke right. 03:46 And he was also on his way to having a fifth victory for the United States Senate. 04:01 he would always tell me something that the president would tell me too. He would always say, keep at it, Mark. You have a very, very big voice. 04:10 I'd say, well, I don't know about that. He says, trust me on this. I'm well aware of this. The president has said the same thing to me. 04:21 I don't know if I have a big voice or not. I just state what I believe. 04:27 And it's very, very sad what happened to him. 04:35 As somebody who's had heart disease most of his adult life, has had bypass surgery. 04:43 You know, you feel a pain here and there and you wonder, or you're out of breath and you wonder. 04:49 In his case, I don't know that he knew that he had, you know, heart disease, but I was somewhat unfamiliar with what took his life, but then I looked at it and read about it and studied it. 05:07 It happens. It's relatively rare, but it's pretty brutal. 05:12 The tearing of the interior main artery. 05:17 And you know the story that he was told he should go get help without obviously knowing what was wrong with him. He wasn't feeling well, and he said he'd reportedly wait until after his appearance on Meet the Press, but unfortunately died before that. 05:35 I am quite disgusted with people on TV and elsewhere to use this opportunity to attack his views. 05:48 And most of these people are ignoramuses. 05:53 They always want to talk about American sovereignty, but they don't understand you have to fight for American sovereignty, that we have evil enemies out there that don't believe in American sovereignty. And as Reagan would say, fortress America is a disaster. You'll destroy yourselves. 06:09 We have alliances for a reason. For a reason. 06:12 For a reason. 06:15 American sovereignty is built on these alliances as well. 06:20 We can't go it alone. 06:22 As powerful as we are, we can't. We couldn't in World War I. We couldn't in World War II. We just cannot. 06:31 And the ignoramuses out there who want you to believe it's America first are really quite pathetic, truly stupid people. 06:43 Lindsey Graham had some remarks on Friday after he met with Zelensky, and he was in Ukraine for the 10th time. 06:53 And what's interesting is the administration's position on Ukraine has kind of moved away from the vice president's position, has moved toward Lindsey Graham's position. I'm just being blunt. 07:04 And Ukraine is really fighting an exceptional war. 07:10 They are the victims. They were attacked. 07:13 Their cities have been pulverized, but now they have, with their own technology, developed drones that can reach deep into Russia with very severe consequences. 07:27 They're quite advanced. 07:29 The Ukrainian people are quite smart, and their backs have been against the wall, and they're fighting for their survival, and they're doing a hell of a job. 07:37 And it's obvious now, Zelensky and his people... 07:41 have as their purpose to knock out these energy sources, oil fields and production of Russia to try and not just slow down, but stop its military. And its military hasn't been advancing at all. 07:57 And the casualties on both sides are horrible, but more on Russia than even on Ukraine. 08:04 Lindsey Graham was right about Ukraine. I may say so have I been. 08:10 And I will continue to support Ukraine and Taiwan and Israel to my fullest ability, as I have now for several years. 08:23 And this is just 25 seconds or so. Lindsay, on Friday's final public remarks, cut one, go. 08:31 I've never been more optimistic than I am today that we have the formula to end this war. 08:39 Help Ukraine be more lethal. 08:42 Let those supporting Russia to know it's going to be a price to be paid if you keep doing it. And to try to find an off ramp, not to humiliate, but to end this war so that Ukraine will thrive and survive. 08:57 Yeah, that was it. 09:02 You know, I endorsed Lindsey in the primary. 09:08 I'd spoken to him off the air. He had contacted me and I said, look, I want to endorse you. Will it help you or hurt you? 09:16 He said, Mark, in South Carolina, it'll only help. 09:21 And he had President Trump's endorsement anyway, but we gave more endorsement to you and I. 09:30 And he won significant. 09:32 I think it was 58%. They needed to get over 50% not to have a runoff. 09:39 And he succeeded well beyond the 50%. And in April, we talked about this Iranian deal as well. And let's listen in. I haven't listened to this two minutes lately, but let's listen to it. This is April 8th of this year, April 8th, about three months ago, cut to go. 10:03 Lindsey, how are you, my friend? Good, my friend. 10:06 You doing well? 10:07 Let me see. Yeah, so far, so good, brother. I don't know. You and I are attacked a hell of a lot lately. I noticed that. 10:15 I tell you what, judges fire enemies is the way I look at it. Yeah, that's some very weird people. There's some weird people, but thank God we're not two of them. 10:26 No, thank God for that. 10:28 But here's the thing. Here's the thing I want to discuss with you. Seriously. Sure. We support defending our country against an Islamist terrorist enemy that's trying to get nuclear weapons to use against us. 10:40 Why is that controversial? 10:42 Well, let me just say a couple of things. Here's the way I start meetings when I'm in South Carolina talking about how many of you believe the I told if he had a new would use it. Almost everybody raises their hand. And those that don't, I said, you should not be allowed to drive. When he says death to America, death to Israel, he means it, but he's dead. And so he can't do anything about it. We're deep into the bench, but be on the team over there. 11:06 You've got to buy into this cult of death, this radical Islamic philosophy. So when I hear that we're... 11:13 We've got more reasonable people to deal with. With all due respect, if you're in the regime, you're not reasonable. You're a fanatic. You're a religious Nazi. Okay, if you believe they would use a bomb, are they trying to get one? How do you have 900 pounds of 60% highly enriched uranium if you don't cheat? Europe and Obama and Biden tried to control the Iranian nuclear ambitions by all these sanctions and oversight regimes. It failed. They got 900 pounds, 60 percent uranium that could go to 90 percent in two or three weeks to make eight bombs. 11:46 But Trump blew up their crap. That's why they don't. They can't go to 90. The 60% is under a bunch of stuff because Trump blew it up. Nobody else would have done it but Trump. I want to get that 60%, 900 pounds in our hands because they can make a dirty bomb out of it. One day they may come back in the Richmond business. This is the best of Mark Levin. 13:08 The infiltration of America by Islamists and jihadis is really in full force, and I just don't see anything happening to fight this. 13:19 I hear a lot of talk. 13:21 I'm not seeing a lot of action. 13:23 If the Democrats take the House, you will see no action whatsoever. 13:28 And these people are getting a foothold in our country in a big way. 13:33 You look at Mondani's father and mother, communist Islamist from Uganda, his mother a documentarian funded by Qatar, the father, a Columbia University tenured faculty member where he pushes his radical Marxism and Islamism. 13:55 And now we find out that the candidate for the Democrat nomination for the Senate in Michigan, his father, I should say father-in-law's top donor to his PAC, is among the top leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood linked to terror funding in our country. 14:15 I mean, this isn't even under the covers anymore. 14:20 Thank you, Washington Free Beacon, one of the great sites out there. 14:24 Abdul Al-Sayed's father-in-law, this is the guy running for the Democrat nomination for the United States Senate. 14:32 A top donor to Al-Sayed's super PAC is among top leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood organization. You understand the Muslim Brotherhood comes out of Egypt. It's responsible for the assassination of Anwar Sadat. It's responsible for breeding Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Hamas, Islamic Jihad. It is the mothership. And that mothership is funded by Qatar. That mothership is funded by our friends in Turkey, who we're going to give F-35s to unless Congress stops it. 15:09 Well, you want to hear the story? 15:12 Abdul Al-Sayed's father-in-law, the guy running for the Senate nomination for the Democrats, a top donor to a super PAC supporting the left-wing Michigan Senate hopeful, is among the top leaders of an Islamic organization identified by the federal government as a public-facing group for the Muslim Brotherhood. A Washington Free Beacon review found. And I'm going to salute the Free Beacon. They're fantastic. 15:40 As part of his role with the Islamic Society of North America, ISNA, which the federal government linked to the financing of Hamas, Tayyip Yakku, that's right, contributes at least $5,000 to the organization annually. 15:58 Zhukaku has served on the 20-member founding committee of the ISNA since at least 2007, according to the organization's magazine Islamic Horizons. 16:11 And has been a member of the group, quote, for a long time. Cannot recall when I joined, according to Zhukaku's online biography. 16:20 federal prosecutors identified the organization as an unindicted co-conspirator in the landmark 2007 terrorist financing case, USA v. Holy Land Foundation, which culminated in the conviction of the foundation's founders for funneling $12 million to Hamas. 16:40 They also identified the ISNA, the INSA, again, the Islamic Society of North America, as one of eight entities, quote, who are and or were members of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood. The mothership. 17:02 So now this candidate in Michigan is tied to these terror front groups. 17:10 And they're more than front groups. They're terror organizations. 17:15 The Holy Land Foundation trial. 17:18 Back in 2007, Lorenzo Vadino, the director of the program on extremism at George Washington University, said ISNA, quote, was historically no question an organization created by the Muslim Brotherhood and fellow travelers from the Indian subcontinent is basically the Islamist organization in America. 17:41 He noted that Tayyib was involved with the group when they were putting out some really nasty stuff. This is the father-in-law for the candidate who wants to be the Democrat nominee for the Senate in Michigan. 17:55 To be on the founding committee, this is the elders of the organization, Vadino told the Free Beacon. 18:01 Jukaku also served as president, ready for this, of the Council on American Islamic Relations. CARE, who I've told you for decades, is a Hamas front group. 18:14 Their Michigan chapter from 2005 to 2010, according to the group's IRS disclosures. 18:22 CARE was also named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial and included on a list of groups who were members of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood's Palestine Committee and its organization. It's a similar but separate distinction from the ISNA's Muslim Brotherhood affiliation. 18:46 Vidino said it was unsurprising that Taib is also involved with care. He said this is kind of a pattern, he told the Free Beacon. To some degree, it's a good old boys network. And so if you're on the board committee in ISNA, chances are you belong to your local care chapter. Chances are you sit on the board of another charity that is part of the network. That's how it works. 19:14 How many more jihadis are we going to send to Congress? 19:18 I asked the Democrat Party. 19:21 If you're a Democrat, if you're a Democrat union member, if you're a Democrat blue-collar worker, if you're a Democrat cop or firefighter, if you're a Democrat assembly line worker or a trucker, how can you put up with this? 19:36 How can you put up with this? 19:42 Federal prosecutors first charged the Holy Land Foundation, once the largest Muslim charity in the United States, with money laundering and providing material support to terrorist organizations in 2024. 19:55 The government said the foundation was created for the purpose, I'm quoting, of providing financial and material support to Hamas, And, of course, they funnel more than $12 million to the terror group, to affiliated committees and organizations. So both the ISNA and CARE, these Muslim groups, were named as unindicted co-conspirators, and though they challenged the label, a federal judge ruled in July 2029. At Joukaku served both the ISNA's founding committee and as president of CARE, Michigan, that the Department of Justice had provided, quote, ample evidence, unquote, linking then to Hamas. 20:31 The Holy Land Foundation raised money for Hamas, for example, using a joint bank account with the ISNA, which deposited checks into the account. They were often made payable to the Palestinian Mujahideen, the original name of the Hamas military wing. Lots of names, but the same goal. 20:51 The ruling also cited a 1991 memo from the Shura Council of the Muslim Brotherhood, an international Sunni Islamist group that has spawned numerous armed jihadist organizations, including Hamas, that described ISNA as a member group. The council stated in the memo, That its work in the United States was, quote, a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions. 21:31 This is in the United States of America. These councils, these brotherhoods, these international organizations are right here in our country with these terrorist-supporting jihadis. 21:45 And they are free to operate. 21:48 They're on the move. 21:50 They're bringing other people into our country. And our politicians aren't doing crap. 21:58 The trial did not push Jakuki to distance himself from the ISNA or CARE in 2010. He was photographed alongside CARE Executive Director Nihad Awad, who said he was happy to see Hamas break the siege on October 7, 2023 at CARE Michigan Annual Banquet. 22:20 Jakaku is also a top donor to a super PAC supporting El Saeed's candidacy. 22:26 the Fighting for Michigan PAC. 22:29 He's given the PAC $200,000, nearly half of the nearly half a million it has raised as of March 31. It's been obvious since the 1970s that the Muslim Students Association and ISNA have been strongly tied to extreme fringes of the Democrat Party, said Andrew McCarthy, a former federal prosecutor who led the prosecution of the Blind Sheik. 22:54 As his father-in-law pours money into broader campaign efforts, El Saeed is campaigning on pushing money out of politics, a slogan featured on yard signs supporting his campaign. 23:06 He has singled out spending from pro-Israel groups like the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee, AIPAC, which he accused of working to buy off the government to make sure that our money is sent abroad to kill other people. Simultaneously, the Fighting for Michigan pact, armed with generous contributions from Jukaku, is spending big, big to help Al-Sayed secure the Democratic nomination over his primary opponent, Congresswoman Hallie Stevens. 23:36 So is the American Priorities PAC. Well, what's that? It's a newly created anti-Israel group that aims to counter AIPAC spending and has vowed to do whatever it takes to help Saeed get the nomination. 23:50 Stevens took aim at the contradiction during last week's primary debate. She said he's great at covering up that his father-in-law is running his PAC, that's spending millions of dollars for him. Abdul, you talk about getting money out of politics and putting money in people's pockets, but who's putting money in your pocket? 24:09 What are you hiding? Al-Sayed's campaign did not respond to requests for comment. ISNA and Tayyib did not respond to requests for comment. Tayyib is a kidney doctor, born in India, went to medical school there before undergoing his medical training in the United States. How the hell did he get here? 24:29 And why isn't he kicked out? 24:33 You said that he and his family spent the formative years of our lives as Muslims working the ISNA, which is this radical jihadi group. 24:43 Al-Sayed appears to share his father-in-law's sympathies for Islamist figures and organizations. He has rallied alongside Palestinian terrorist sympathizers on the left, most notably the anti-American streamer Hassan Piker, who has said America deserved 9-11. One of his former campaign staffers, Dearborn, Michigan native, Marim Adda, was indicted in June for allegedly engaging in a coordinated campaign to threaten Jewish officials, businesses, and groups at the University of Michigan. 25:14 El-Sayed himself has been hesitant to criticize terrorists and are concerned that doing so could alienate left-wing voters. In March he privately told staffers that he wanted to avoid discussing slain Iranian leader Ali Khamenei because many of his potential supporters were sad about Khamenei's death as the Free Beacon reported. 25:36 I also want to remind you guys, he said, there's a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad today, referencing heavily Democratic City that boasts the largest Muslim population per capita in America. So, like, I just don't want to comment on Khomeini at all. Like, I don't think it's worth even touching that. 25:58 God forbid if this guy becomes a United States senator. You understand the lieutenant governor of Virginia, is a jihadi. You understand that there are now new members of the House who are going to be jihadis and Marxists? 26:15 It's unbelievable. 26:16 Absolutely unbelievable. 26:19 How these people get into our country, they secrete themselves into our system, they get nominated by the Democrat Party. By the way, the Republicans aren't nominating anybody like this. 26:30 In fact, Zutty Jasser is the anti-jihadi, the anti-Islamist. 26:37 He barely gets any attention from Republicans. He barely gets any support. He did things that no prosecutor would do if they were worth their salt. 27:37 GOP lawmakers fume after revelation that Jack Smith covertly read texts from Trump administration and dozens of lawmakers. 27:46 A blatant abuse of power. 27:49 This is breaking now. 27:52 Republican lawmakers skewered Jack Smith after it was revealed the former special counsel read text messages from dozens of Congress members and officials from President Donald Trump's first administration, contradicting testimony he gave last year. 28:08 Well, they ought to bring him up on perjury, and they ought to charge him and throw his fat ass in prison. 28:15 Senator Chuck Grassley and Senator Ron Johnson published their documents on Tuesday. 28:22 After receiving them from the Justice Department, the file showed Smith read messages from 44 lawmakers, including Grassley, Tom Cotton, Senator Susan Collins on the GOP side and a number of Trump officials between October 2020 and December 2021. The day Trump's first term ended. 28:45 You want to talk about these police state tactics they dump all over Trump about retribution, retribution, retribution for what? 28:53 It's retribution against what these people have done. 28:58 Smith also read messages from Democratic politicians like Cory Booker and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. 29:06 But it was mostly Republicans, of course. 29:08 Trump officials who were caught up in the message reading operation include Stephen Miller, Rudy Giuliani, Kellyanne Conway, Peter Navarro, the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump, former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, and ex-Vice President Mike Pence. 29:26 The release of the files comes after Smith answered no. He said no. When asked during a congressional deposition in December if he had looked at the quote content of text messages unquote during his Trump investigations. He said no. He's a liar. 29:45 Senator Rand Paul accused Smith of lying in his testimony on Tuesday. Paul posted video of Smith's answer and said the files confirmed he spied on lawmakers, including himself. He said this is blatant abuse of power and exactly what our founders warned about. 30:03 And in this instance, Rand Paul is correct. 30:07 And Grassley ripped Jack Smith for it as well. He said, Jack Smith's criminal investigation of President Trump was a runaway train that had no brakes, Grassley said in a statement. Based on the information that's been produced to me and Senator Johnson, Biden, DOJ, and FBI investigators apparently ignored their own routine investigative protocols. 30:31 to obtain and review work-related messages from me and dozens of my Republican and Democrat colleagues who were outside the scope of the government's investigation. 30:45 The New York Post reported Grassley's office previously disclosed subpoenas of 430 Republican individuals and groups for various records, in addition to phone logs from more than a dozen Republicans. As part of what the Iowa Republican claim was a fishing expedition on Smith's part, you understand, the Biden regime... And the Department of Justice let loose this guy. He was getting phone records and communications. He was getting texts and emails. 31:19 It's unbelievable. 31:22 In the name, of course, of fighting the politicization of politics. 31:28 The special counsel's office had established a so-called filter team, quote-unquote, to ensure they weren't accessing privileged documents or violating officials' constitutional rights. Yeah, right, when reviewing messages that had been sought from the National Archives and Records Administration. 31:48 Senator Johnson, in his own statement, said the file showed yet another grotesque example of of ex-President Joe Biden's weaponization of the Department of Justice. Now what are they going to do about it? They're in the majority in the Senate. Now what are they going to do about it? 32:07 He had a Jack Smith team acted with impunity as they disregarded their own protocols to obtain and access White House text messages, including messages to and from 44 members of Congress. 32:21 At this point, no one should be shocked by Jack Smith's recklessness and blatant abuse of power, but they should be outraged. Okay, I'm outraged. Now what are you going to do about it? 32:31 Here's what you ought to do about it. You ought to pull together a strong letter with evidence in it, not only of what he did, but what he said under oath, what he said in depositions. 32:43 Bring it to the attention of the criminal division, public integrity section of the Department of Justice. 32:49 and demand a criminal investigation. 32:54 No Democrat lawmakers criticize Smith over the documents, of course. 33:00 Of course. 33:02 Because they weren't actually the target, were they? 33:09 You know, until people are brought before grand juries and indicted and prosecuted, this stuff's not going to stop. 33:17 This is the second issue we're talking about tonight. 33:20 You have terrorists coming into our country who are involved in our campaigns, who are donating money to candidates, some of whom are getting elected to Congress. What the hell's going on? 33:30 Then you have this going on with this guy Jack Smith. 33:35 People ought to be outraged. They ought to be outraged. What is he, a commentator? These senators need to do something about it. 33:43 But alas. 33:46 But alas. 33:49 Here we sit. 33:52 Doesn't sound like they're going to do anything to me. 33:55 It's just so preposterous. 33:59 Just so outrageous that they can't get their act together to even defend themselves, let alone the Constitution and the Republic, by the way. 34:09 They just can't seem to get it done. 34:12 I don't know why. Do you? Do you? 34:20 A little bit of good news on the consumer and economics front. As a matter of fact, it's big good news. 34:29 From our friends at Breitbart, inflation was crushed. Consumer prices fall sharply in June, much better than expected. Biggest decline in six years. Biggest decline since 2020, and there's crickets. 34:43 Because the economy is the number one issue to people who are voting, apparently. 34:48 And this is great news. 34:50 And so they basically smothered with a pillow. Oh, they'll mention it, but that's about it. Consumer prices fell sharply in June, thanks to relief of the gas pump and a broad decline in inflation. 35:02 Consumer price index fell 0.4% last month compared with May. The Department of Labor said today this is the largest decline since 2020. 35:13 Compared with a year ago, prices are 3.5% higher, so it's minimal. 35:20 Economists had forecast a 0.1% monthly decline, while they were only off by a factor of three. 35:26 After May's sharp 0.5% increase, the inflation index was expended to climb 3.8% from a year earlier, a slowdown in annual inflation from May's 4.2%. 35:37 Folks, inflation is under control right now, not due to the Fed, due to the Trump administration fiscal policy. 35:45 Fiscal policy. 35:48 Core prices, a measure that excludes food and energy, were flat compared with the prior month. That's the best inflation reading since January 2021. For the year, core prices are up 2.6% de minimis. 36:01 Based on the rounded monthly figures, headline consumer price index rose at roughly 2.8%, annualized rate over the past three months, and so forth. Of course, that was eliminated with the 17th Amendment. But even beyond that, was to ensure that states with smaller populations had a say in the government. 40:18 Because if you just go by the popular vote, you have a parliamentary system that is a House of Representatives, two-thirds of our states won't have any say. 40:28 The people who live in these states, because they're not heavily populated, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, you can go down the list, Delaware, Rhode Island, on and on, Vermont, they each have two senators. They would have nothing, virtually nothing. 40:48 And the genius of having a Senate was to do several things that the Marxist left does not like. Number one, it slows things down. 41:02 It slows things down so things aren't quickly pushed through because of the popular view of the moment. 41:10 So it slows things down. Number two, it ensures that every state has some representation and in the national, that is the federal government, through Congress. 41:24 Some states may not have a large population of human beings, but they may have a large population of cattle. 41:32 And we need cattle. They may have a large population of chickens. They may have a large harvest of wheat and corn and other things and so forth and so on. 41:42 That is, we need those states to be involved, even if they're not all cities and urban areas. Because in cities and urban areas, they can't feed themselves. 41:52 So they looked at geography. 41:56 They looked at various elements of commerce in America. 42:02 And the idea of having a House of Representatives and a Senate was absolutely brilliant. 42:07 Brilliant. 42:08 And they didn't want one faction, popular for a period of years, two, three, five, ten years, to be able to massively push an agenda through, an agenda through that would lock it in forever, and make it impossible to reverse course or change course. 42:29 So we have a Senate, and it also... 42:32 The Senate, that is, is involved in appointments of the executive branch. 42:39 It's involved in treaties with the executive branch. 42:45 And also, if everything is run through a House of Representatives or a parliament, things become even more chaotic, don't they? 42:57 We don't want a parliamentary system like they have in Europe. We see how they fail. 43:03 Why else do we have a Senate? 43:06 Think of your Declaration of Independence. 43:10 Our rights don't come from Congress. Our rights don't come from government. Our rights don't come from state governments. Our rights don't come from local school boards. Our rights are God-given. 43:22 Everything is not determined by majority rule. 43:26 Who has the votes? 43:28 That's called mobocracy. That's what Aristotle called it, and he was correct. 43:34 Mobocracy. 43:36 Everything should not be decided by popular vote. 43:40 Some things are sacrosanct, like your free will, like your liberty, like your rights, regardless of how anybody votes. 43:51 And I can go on, but why do we have an electoral college? 43:55 Very similar reason. 43:58 If we had a national popular vote, which is what the radical left and the Democrats push, you basically have about 12 states that would control all 50 states. So they wanted to make sure, again, that smaller states had a say. 44:35 Not control, but had a say. 44:37 So those two senators count as two electoral college votes and the number of members of the House that you have. So in the case of Delaware, they get three. Two senators, one House member. 44:50 Three. 44:53 And you have other states with three or four and five, something like that. 44:58 So all of the big, heavily populated states aren't the only states that ever say. When you add up the other 38 states, their population's equal, the 12 states, pretty much. 45:15 But nobody's going to campaign in those states. They're all going to campaign in the heavy populated states. 45:21 The real reason why they push for this, the elimination of the electoral college, is they want these Democrat metropolitan areas and Democrat blue states to control the entire country.
